This album is generic, gimmicky, and it bores me to tears. It's basically hair metal meets Miley Cyrus. Orianthi sounds like a pop band trying to cover rock music.

There's organisation about Believe. Firstly it was relesed at the perfect time; just after the release of This Is It, but more importantly the music feels tight and well balanced. Orianthi could well have been bundled as the one of the placentae associated with the demise of Michael Jackson, but she pulls of a record thats catchy and fun, though admitedly a little bland at the edges. Afterall there's only so much you can do with a stock angsty voice, even if the guitar work is impeccable.

Just looking at the front cover tells you this is nothing more than a pretty face behind a guitar. However, put the soul of a shredder in that pretty face and you get Orianthi. This album is comprised of radio friendly rock songs with blazing and melodic solos and leads. Big choruses, solos to hum to, and powerful vocals make this a fun ride. It just might just be the best of both worlds.
