It's astounding to think that it took until 2022, almost 30 years later since they began, for Backstreet Boys to produce a Christmas record. Now there was 'It's Christmas Time Again' released in 2012, which is included on versions of "A Very Backstreet Christmas" - and still remains the best track on the record. Still, for the first (and possible only) offering regarding contribution to the endless holiday-themed catalog, decisions such as using the Drifters' arrangement of 'White Christmas' and covering the underrated 'Same Old Lang Syne' add a sense of flair to the record whereas otherwise the 'Winter Wonderland's and 'I'll Be Home for Christmas'es seemingly add nothing new. For a notable pop, holiday-themed album, this is one of the better ones in recent years; earning its way into all future holiday season rotations.
