This is a pure classical piece. It makes my ears scream sex. The girl on the album cover is also a hot babe. I would bang bang bang.

A good pop record. I tried to get past Adam Lambert's dreadful album cover and camp personality to really listen...and i must say i'm impressed. Granted, that's only because I was expecting so little.rTheir are alot of great melodies here that will stay in your head. rFavorite tracks: For Your Entertainment, Fever, Aftermath and Time For Miracles.

I had hopes that were above and beyond anything that had ever graced American Idol when I first saw/heard Adam. He's got a great voice, and he has an interesting throwback to the old glam aesthetic. If he weren't trying to sound too much like Lady Gaga/Madonna, I may have given this debut album a higher rating. Obviously his song-writing abilities are very limited, since he often collaborates and copies lyrical styles that are old hat. He's just a little too steeped in the silly techno party field, and I honestly think he could branch out and at least front a band (there has been some talk about him filling Freddie Mercury's role in Queen, and while I know he won't be able to capture everything that made Queen shine, it could be a few steps above Paul Rodgers.)rThis album is pretty passe for me personally, but there are some glimmers of hope (albeit pretty small ones.) The songs that have recieved radio play are at least catchy and showcase his rock operatic vocal personality (ie. the title track, Whataya Want From Me, and If I Had You.) My favorite song is probably "Pick U Up' (co-written with Weezer's Rivers Cuomo,) which sounds almost like something Muse could do. rIn don't think I'll have any issues with Adam performing alongside Queen, but if he makes another album, I'm not expecting anything special.

I think a lot of people are still homophobic and therefore make fun of Adam Lambert. Truth is, he's got an incredible voice, and this album is a lot of fun.

Adam Lambert's voice. Holy mother of God. It doesn't even matter that some of the tracks on this album, an experimental hodgepodge of glam rock, dance pop, and standard pop rock, don't work as well as others. His voice ensures that the album remains hypnotically listenable. The way he effortlessly soars across an easy five octaves seems inhuman. He could sing Itsy Bitsy Spider and make it a masterpiece.

Overthought, overstuffed, and mostly bland. Luckily (for Adam) this album is saved by the fact it never takes itself terribly seriously, and it shows the signs of some good pop chops.
Who knows, maybe Adam Lambert's follow-up will be better. Though I wouldn't hold your breath if I were you.
