Despite boasting a lineup of seasoned post-hardcore veterans, Past Lives ultimately feels like another Anthony Green project - just not one of his strongest. His unmistakable voice takes center stage, and while the songwriting doesn't always hit with full impact, the band delivers a solid foundation of tight performances and polished production. The energy is there, and while the hooks don't always stick as strongly, the album still offers plenty for fans of Green's dynamic and emotive approach. Kinda sad for the other lads that his vocals take so much space.
