Norther has always been compared to fellow Finns Children of Bodom. This was most evident in their debut album Dreams of Endless war released in 2002. The harsh vocals, shredding guitar and keyboard solos but even with this Norther manage to put out an enjoyable, catchy yet brutal album. The lyrics are cold, depressing and they fit the music. Dreams of endless war is essentially a power metal album heavily influenced by Children of Bodom. Songs like Dream, Last Breath and Endless war make this a great album no matter how influenced it is by CoB.
