3.0 good | Gene Gol-Jonsson CONTRIBUTOR | May 28th 23 | Far from the sound I expected a band called Skullcrusher to wield, but acoustic dream pop with some gaze-y undertones is fine too. Fine, that is, as long as you can handle a continuous harmonic 'v i b e' mostly detached from your conventional musical structures or melodies. But then again, you can only run so far on v i b e s alone.

4.5 superb | ajcollins15 | October 19th 22 | Emotionally driving, dreamy folk instrumentals, and haunting ambient drones that can really cause you to stop and think about who you are and what you are doing. Perfect for a long walk outside as the cold air comes in and the seasons are changing as well as a late-night silent listen as you contemplate your life. A breathtaking showing of ambiance and atmosphere clashing with one another.

3.6 great | Erwann S. STAFF | October 17th 22 | With a hazy production and overall abstract vibe that reminisces a lot of Grouper, Skullcrusher delivers a debut LP that's bringing a deep hauntological atmosphere. What's remarkable is how 'crusher makes sure the record's minimalism isn't dampened by lack of flashiness - the production and all its lil elements bring enough diversity for the record to be more than your typical "sadgurl indie folk".
