I'm mostly with NickLizard49 on this; I don't think I'll be listening to this very often, if ever again. But it's interesting that Konietzko seems to have given up making good industrial music, and has instead been playing around with different musical styles the last couple of years: The second track sounds like a hip-hop/rock hybrid; the third, roadhouse rock; the sixth, early 80's punk; the seventh, rae-gae. The beginning of the ninth reminded me a little of R.E.M., and the eighth track sounds like -- of all things -- industrialized country-western. I gave it a higher rating, though, because the title track is pretty average for KMFDM, and I actually like "All Wrong - But Alright.' That track is heavy with North-African/Middle Eastern drum beats, and also processed Middle-Eastern vocals sort of reminiscent of Ministry's Hezbollah. Since Ministry released that song I've always thought the master drummers from that region held great potential for Industrial-style experimentation. This track isn't very successful, but it could a landmark for the future.

Pretty creative for kmfdm standards jumping all over the map between classic rock, boom bap hip-hop, industrial metal, edm, and such. Then again these things have always been present. It's a really happy album with a vibe that does not die down, it's not spectacular or anything but it could be a neat mood booster.

"One of the lowest points in their entire career" - Were you, guys, expecting Bohemian
Rhapsody or smth?! Yes, it lacks pissed-off energy of PARADISE, innovation of WTF?! and, of
all things, WWIII, but is a throughly enjoyble listen not being dragged by any
monotomy. Moreover, it constantly tries to spice things up with it's sound - many modern
KMFDM albums severely needed it. Yes, it strives from industrial too much (come on,
KMFDM have been doing that on 85 % of their LPs), but, most of all, it presents strong song-
writing diversity with punchy mastering, albeit by rehearshing certain ideas from Nihil,
Adios, Symbols & even UAIOE. Lyrics are still englufed with sharp-wit counterculture.
Current guitarist unleashes sonic powerhouse, he can play in different styles depening on a
song. Some tracks symbolically reflects the HYENA title with vaudeville aesthetics. Genre-
juggling is insane. From funky hip-hop & 80's punk to electro-industrial & DUB. The main
downfall of this album is reusing the same tried-tasted tropes of these various genres, not
to mention that most of them have already been explored on the afformentioned releases. IN
DUB WE TRUST, for example, is basically a DUB version of Trust from Nihil. The title track
is reminiscent to the Symbols song-writing. Reggae/Dub-alike overtones are from UAIOE and
Adios. Even the starting sample was taken from Skold Vs KMFDM.

*Some of these things i've wrote on bandcamp, so there is no plagiarism.

KMFDM blasts into the roaring 20s with a tepid sequel to 2019's PARADISE but the effort is
still worthwhile. ALL WRONG - BUT ALRIGHT is hands down the grooviest track, the title track
ain't bad neither.

Well' this is much worse than I expected. I didn't expect another Paradise (which was great), but at least another Our time will come (which was enjoyable), but this is just terrible. One of the lowest points in their entire career, if not the lowest. I'm still not sure which is worse between this and don't blow your top, but at least dbyt had a couple of great tracks, so this is probably worse.
