3.5 great | Gene Gol-Jonsson CONTRIBUTOR | May 4th 22 | Patrick is a little overreliant on the v i b e s and general airy atmosphere here, but not necessarily to the detriment of the content, as 'Better In The Shade' is his typical beautiful arrangement and unique baroque vision.

4.0 excellent | ajcollins15 | April 27th 22 | I believe the power that flows from this album is simply how both down-to-earth and yet cryptic this album is and sounds. On the Canadian's 9th album we see him go less for triumphant and boisterous sonic landscapes and takes a much more emotional, muted, and soft approach. In many ways, you can hear the nuance and subtlety of a Thom Yorke or even an Owen Pallett on this new album. Really is a breathtaking listen when you give it some time to hit your heartstrings.
