| 2.5 average | AmbushReality | September 2nd 22 | Noir and Souvenirs are two of my favorite djenty metalcore records ever, with Noir being one of my top played of all time in any genre. I was skeptical with the vocalist change, and while the replacement is a step back, he's capable of handling this new nu-metal/electro-tinged sound. And there are some decent songs here, just nothing touching the highs of the older records. Still, lead guitarist Flo rips a handful of really sick solos. That said, they put a fucking interlude at track #2 AND at track #4 AND at track #6 - none of which have anything to do with the otherwise nu-metal vibe of the album; they're completely out of place. Lost a whole point on the rating for that bullshit. You can't be tough-guy posturing on your album cover and have three vibey interludes in the first six tracks. EDIT - Taking another half point off for the FIVE fuckin interludes in 12 tracks. They would've sounded at home with the old sound, but with this new pivot, they make zero sense especially given 5 of the 7 actual songs were released as singles months ago. This should've been an EP.

| 3.5 great | Tundra (Sput Villain) | September 7th 25 | This is the moment they first captured the vibrant sound that they would later perfect when Camille joins the band. It is undoubtedly more accessible than ever before. They have incorporated a lot more synths and vocal chops into the mix. And wow, do the choruses really stand out, often making a significant impact. This album genuinely inspires you to dance along, which is something that can't be said for their earlier work. They had already mastered their ethereal sound, but the upbeat tracks were not as prominent. Deja Vu is exceptionally funky and refreshingly unique. Even though it leans more towards a pop sound, it remains more distinctive than their previous ambient djent style, which I find quite ironic.

| 4.0 excellent | iamSeraph | September 25th 22 | I mean, let's be real here. Lost Cause is probably one of the best Metalcore songs ever
made, hands down. As is Heretic. Smoke Signals, Made by Design, and Terrorist are bangers.
The Answer and Track 10 are fine, you can take or leave them. But the five interludes are
just a bit much for a record running only 34 minutes in total, granted. Therefore, it should
better have been a 7-track-EP, then it would be a 4.5. Now it's just a 3.5 to 4. A bit sad
they didn't show us more regular tracks, because Deja Vu could have been an AOTY
contender...

| 3.5 great | Leon11037 | August 4th 22 | expecting this to be glorious but could lower score upon hearing it. Put a 5 for now because
of the low ratings despite the album not being out... It's just like... why would you do
that.
Edit: Suprise, it Lived up to the hype more or less
