4.5 superb | Bedex | September 28th 23 | My literal first musical memory, and what a gem. Well done pa and ma. I might slip a 5 on it eventually it's just too smooth for its own good.

4.0 excellent | Gary STAFF | December 25th 20 | Alright, here it goes another 4.0. It was lovely chill "jazz" album (I'm too noob for the whole bossa nova thing). It feels like the melody pulls the percussions with it, and the result is a calmly flowing album + interesting to hear the piano almost always in the "background". Too bad I don't speak Portuguese.

3.5 great | Robbit | May 7th 16 | GETZ/GILBERTO was a collaboration between American saxophonist Stan Getz and Brazilian guitarist Joao Gilberto which inspired an
International fascination with the Bossa Nova genre. It contains the song "The Girl From Ipanema" which put both this genre and
vocalist Astrud Gilberto on the map. The slinky, mellow vibe that Getz & Gilberto create here is quite pleasant and unobtrusive.
I'm hesitant to call this essential (at least for myself), but it's a certainly a nice record to have in your collection.
Highlights: "The Girl From Ipanema".

4.0 excellent | Valkyrion | February 6th 15 | Despite being as accessible as jazz music gets, Getz / Gilberto remains a classic of bossa nova and maintains an universal appeal. The album is detatched from the adventurous avant-garde of its era, favouring softer moods and simple arrangements. Some critics may pass this off as easy-listening, but it's impossible to hate and holds its charm and meserizing qualities to this day.
