| 3.4 great | Erwann S. EMERITUS | April 25th 22 | Brash electronic-led pop (this ain't electropop tho) that goes a lil too everywhere, but the tracks that do find a balance between nods to noughties pop and the most modern territories of mainstream music manage to convey both nostalgia and futurism - big yay. As a whole, American Gurl failed to convince me it constitutes the next pop landmark, but the way it pulls out bangers from different electropop (whoops) subgenres is to be lauded.
