Love everything they've put out but this is a huge step up! First knockout album of this year IMO.

Prince Daddy's self-titled record is messy but good. Messy because diverging propositions succeed one another in the form of tunes that do not necessarily have a lot of inherent continuation, but good because, despite this gloubiboulga of an album, they manage to nail their takes on the emo spectrum in an extremely fun way. Also, the stronger cuts are located in the second half, so the experience definitely is rewarding.

Sometimes you hear an album that you kind of wish you liked more, but you know deep down it really just isn?t speaking to you. The third album from the Albany-based band is another sting yet campy emo-pop and power pop album. Don?t get me wrong it?s a really great album if you loved that early 2000s emo pop sounds, but for me this just has a hard time sticking with me.
