exactly the attitude I want from these guys.

| 4.0 excellent | Gary STAFF | April 22nd 22 | Connected by... the same weirdness. Omnium Gatherum is the Aussie chameleons' most diverse album so far, since there are no two songs in the same style after each other. Sometimes you can hear funky jams, sometimes their signature crazy garage-prog rock comes next, but in other times the album contains trip-hop(?) / weird '60s-'70s spirited psychedelic pop / (latin) jazz / rusty stoner-thrash metal songs too (Fuck yeah!). Interestingly, this massive diversity didn't hurt the album's flow at all, and even more interestingly: the almost one-and-a-half-hour-long runtime felt super light as well. Good time guaranteed, and a possible grower. (Give this a couple of spins, my dudes!)

| 2.5 average | Brabiz | May 1st 22 | I dont get the overwhelmingly positive reaction to this, its bloated and disjointed. There are a handful of great cuts, but when the track list is this needlessly massive, it hardly counts for anything

| 4.0 excellent | Erwann S. EMERITUS | April 26th 22 | Omnium Gatherum is versatile, engaging, beautifully produced and performed, and feels like a breeze despite its mammoth length. These dudes really wanna make sure they'll be remembered as one of the most important rock bands of the 2010s-2020s. And they're succeeding at that. Motherfuckers.

| 4.5 superb | migueldemolina | April 25th 22 | Yeah this is diverse as hell. Every single song is fun as fuck and despite the fact that they all sound like songs from different albums (or bands even) the record doesn't feel bloated or disjointed.
On par with nonagon infinity in terms of "fun to listen to".

| 3.5 great | cjbizzlebizzle | October 20th 22 | 'The Dripping Tap' is a masterpiece. Omnium Gatherum feels like a collection of many of the different sounds King Gizzard has put out over the years, perhaps a review before new ventures. Beyond that there is a lot of nice material (Gaia, Predator X, The Garden Goblin) but since I have listened to this they have released 3 more, do these guys sleep and eat? The output is impressive to say the least considering it is quite good for the most part. This album doesn't need to be 80 minutes long but at the same time it is pleasant throughout so its not like there is a ton of throwaway either. The closest thing to throwaway would be the rap tracks which are funny the first time but get pretty tiringly cheesy after that. Is there a world record for albums created that aren't made by bots, I think they might be on pace.

| 3.5 great | BillyBrill | August 3rd 22 | The Dripping Tap is just amazing, and I love a good few other tracks, but man. Is this album long as hell or what

| 3.5 great | Caleb Robinson CONTRIBUTOR | July 12th 22 | Finally got around to listening to this, and I'm pretty disappointed. For starters, it probably wasn't a good idea to release the best song on the album first, because it all seems to go downhill once you finish the opener. And this is WAY too disjointed - KGLW has proven to be a versatile band, but hearing the album jump from psychedelic, to indie pop, to thrash, to rap, and back again is incredibly exhausting. I'd honestly prefer either of their last three albums to this one.

| 5.0 classic | finanime2022 | May 1st 22 | King Gizzard weaves all of their varied musical interests into one cohesive project, with some of the most pointed and inventive lyrics, and some of the most fun rhythms and riffs they've ever cooked up. Tentatively giving it a 10/10 for now, because it just keeps getting more fun with every listen. Also, Candles is probably going to be my most played song of 2022.

| 4.5 superb | Mitch | April 25th 22 | Long as hell, but totally worth it. So many great ideas and sounds present here, and all of them work surprisingly well. The fact that KGLW can pull off two fun rap numbers just goes to show that there isn't a single genre they tackle convincingly.

| 4.0 excellent | NordicNorth | April 22nd 22 | This is what I've come to expect from these guys, a few tracks stopped me from giving this a 4.5 but this is some of the best writing they've produced so far. Love the journey these guys are on and long live the jamming era.
