Big 'you had to be there' energy firing here for something that now, through distance of time, comes off as dime-a-dozen. It's all fine and good, and I certainly do enjoy a 00s throwback like the next guy, but this album also is a display of what exactly about that era is now a bygone dream: cocky riffs, samey writing, poorly mixed and jarring amateur vocals. That was the appeal, for sure, but that was also the detriment.

Exactly what the title suggests it is. Describing how 2009 was for the band, with some of the best lyrics possible.
