Not gonna lie, the vocals are pretty annoying at first, but Love Songs for the Apocalypse is a brutally
honest recording that takes you into the mind of an angry, drug-addicted homeless man who is fed up
with the world. The song writing is simplistic but effective, overtly so, even. The amount of character and
passion within ever screech and ragged guitar strum is enough to put you into the band's shoes, and the
amount of humor and heart to be found on each and every track is nothing more than beautiful. This
might be a hard grower for most on first listen, but in the end, It's an essential listening. 5/5 [Best

Quite possibly the most memorable folk punk albums. Raw, catchy and pissed-off, Love Songs for the Apocalypse is easy to relate to if you're a teenager (or used to be), bringing the listener back to those drunken moments of euphoria/loss/hopelessness. The pain and emotion is the vocalist's angsty, less-than-perfect lyrics rightfully becomes the centerpiece of the music perfectly backed by trumpet and guitar.
