raw and full of energy, certainly the best thing to come out of the nu/alt era of hard rock (no this and slipknot have never been metal). screams, infected, throat, black & to a lesser but still ahrd degree wept slap yo mama into next week n the rest still bring general consistency thruout. gauntlet sucks tho

Demon Hunter's first studio album is much darker than their later work, but nonetheless is still a good album.

A metalcore album that actually moves me everytime i hear it. There is so much emotion poured into every single song and they all have a genuine feel of rage akin to some of Slipknots stuff, but a lot better than that.

Demon Hunter's debut self-titled album is surprisingly weak compared to their later albums. The most this album does for the band is establishes somewhat of a trademark sound for the band, though that isn't necessarily the best thing.
