I thought this album was the best they've done since Amaryllis. A little cheesy sometimes? Sure but hey it leagues better than Threat to Survival

Musically pretty standard Shinedown with a handful of standout bangers, as is their thing. But those bangers are especially bangin this time, and the filler is especially filler-y.rLyrically the ballads are even more vapid and lifeless than usual and the politically-charged lyrics are absolutely embarrassing and full of self-reporting and accidental self-deprecation. I'd take a full point off for that, but sometimes it's so bad it becomes funny and ironically entertaining so I'll only remove half a point.

Good album. Production and mastering sound well finally. The conception of album reminds me of Nothing More's The Truth We Tell Ourselves, because of the construction and all of these skits. Songs are diverse, some of their heaviest guitars work No Sleep Tonight, Clueless and Dramatic and Dead Don't Die. Satisfying record by echos of their past and rays of their modern problematic side.
