Literally like every 3 years people say Nas is back and compare his latest output to illmatic. Fucking STOP lmao.

This album starts off solid and gets better throughout its entirety, finishing before it has a chance to dip back down in quality. Easily better than both of the King's Disease albums, which were already generally well-regarded. I do not understand anyone comparing this to Illmatic (why would anything he ever does sound like that again?). I also don't understand why someone would say he's back; The last two albums were fairly well-regarded... This album serves as confirmation of his current upward trajectory, which is an invigorating and rather rare thing to hear from a veteran rapper. I wouldn't be surprised if the next album is only alright after dropping consistent heat, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being his second best behind the obvious classic debut.

The author of the greatest hip hop album of all time is back with another solid work. The man doesnt need to be an actor in Hollywood or attend Wall Street to be noticed. He just need to drop epic ryhmes like he has being doing since 1994.
For now, just 3. Maybe later, a 4?

I think this project is amazing and Nas never seems to go out of style. His new and old shit is timeless.

After the great KD II, Nas gives us yet another good ass project. Nas sounds pretty good on here discussing his relevancy in the game and how he?s matured, as shown by his desire to help the community. The production from Hit-Boy is also pretty solid stuff and shows why these two fit so well together. I would have liked a little more variety here in terms of both lyrical content and production, but as he says himself this is an interlude between KD II and III. If this is a stopgap, I can?t wait to see what?s your come. 7/10 rFaves: Speechless, 40-16 Building, Wave Gods, Dedicated.rLows: Ugly, The Truth

Apparently he on fire. Continuing his collaboration with Hit-Boy, Nas further dives into 90s NYC nostalgia, with lit bars and that instantly-recognizable voice. Ain't gonna revolutionize anything, but damn it's good to hear an oldhead still spitting fire. 3.6

Loving how much he is putting out these days. Seems to be on a real roll here after two other solid releases in the last year. I used to jam the crap out of Nas with my brother before he passed away back in February so this has a sentimental touch to it that connects with me beyond standard hip-hop

Pretty time lean for an album, the premier beat is worth the price of admission, ahhhhh yeah.

I will be seriously pissed if the best hip hop album of the year came out too late to be rated
|4.0 excellent||Kuna | December 25th 21|
Sounds amazing. It almost feels like a modern and more mature Illmatic.rProduction is fantastic, hit-boy has been stellar this year and the DJ Premier feature is great as expected from such a legend. Short but packed with fire, this will definitely send waves through the currant hip-hop scene.

Damn, I really enjoyed King Disease's II and this is kinda blowing it out of the water.
Beautiful thing hearing Nas energized like this.
