This is pretty fun in parts but past the initial gimmick it doesn't do much for me. The formula gets really repetitive. Aaj is probably the best thing on this, dat flute solo tho.

Cool idea, great oriental vibe and stuff, but all in all it's too overwhelming. Moreover I've
never heard mix like this in my 8-year music journey, so 3.5/5 ;)
Maybe heard once in Shrezzers Anaraak song.

Ok, was it the best album of the year? No, definetly was not. But was it fun to listen to? Hell Yeah! I know people don't like it because of the gimmicks and whatever, but it got those moments that I found quite enjoyable. Much love for India!

You must give this band a lot of credit for what they are doing and achieving. Although this debut album is fairly one-dimensional, I think the band can fuse these genres better into the future with more exploration and refinement. The ceiling of this band could be something like Zeal and Ardor, but they could also fizzle out depending on how they approach the future. But for now, this album has a lot of problems, and I can't fully sit through it without getting bored.
