I don't speak French, so I cannot speak on the lyrical content, though I've read up on it a little bit. But even though she tackles some serious and surprising stuff, I cannot say whether her writing can handle it. So I will only judge the musicianship, song-writing, and production. Musically, this is a bit of a slogging and straightforward pop album. Not a lot piqued my interest outside a few earworm moments, which are mostly carried by Angele's vocals anyway. Songs follow a similar tune; at one point I felt like I am listening to alternate versions of the same song one after another at least three times in a row and then again. The album quickly becomes quite repetitive, unfortunately.

I think it's great that Angele has the popularity she has. She's quite a great vocalist with insightful lyrics on society, being a woman or a pop star, so even though her composition aren't always the most original thing, she's a lot of fun to listen to.

Some bangers, some introspective tracks that feel more like personal diary excerpts, and then not much else in terms of memorable melodies or ass-shaking grooves.

Fuller soundoff to come later probably, but in short this album (contrary to what the artwork may suggest) shows Angele's more nocturnal, urban, neon side, where Brol was more of a chill summer afternoon soundtrack. This one is more produced, more autotuned in the back, and has a lot more prominent rap/trap DNA. It feels more full. At first I wasn't so keen on this new style, but as I got to terms with knowing that the style of Brol would scarcely come back - except maybe on 4 -, it got better. And whilst some of the tracks feel like slightly forced radio anthem fodder, some are true successes. 3.5
