Looking past the obvious elephant in the room regarding the first track on "Tubthumper" being synonymous with the band itself, Chumbawamba's LP falls into a similar trap that a good offering of other albums do, where the first half is significantly superior to the second half. Forget 'Tubthumping' (though still the best track), 'Drip Drip Drip', 'The Good Ship Lifestyle', 'Outsider', 'One By One', and more are infectious on how the draw the listener in with dynamics between the versus and the choruses. Adding to this are the odd skits that appear between every track that probably serve as some inside joke for the band, yet adds an authenticity to the listening experience otherwise. The second half of the album trails off and becomes uninteresting; 'Creepy Crawling' is borderline unlistenable, and 'I Want More' has a great intro and attempt at a chorus, but doesn't equate to anything more than that. As already stated - listen to the whole album up until 'Outsider' (or arguably even 'The Good Ship Lifestyle'), and call it quits. You'll find a very exciting EP.
