If you take "metanoia" and remove some words and add some others, you get Mata Nui, so this is basically a Bionicle concept album if you really think about it.

I love this band and wish I enjoyed this more than I do. There are some great moments, of course, and these guys are outstanding musicians, but the songs simply feel disjointed and hookless. Will give it some more time before coming to any conclusions.

Persefone finally make an album I knew they've had in them all along. Although this overly bombastic flavour of metal is not necessarily what it'd go for, I can at least now appreciate their song-writing abilities somewhat coming to full fruition and showing great maturity. It's still a little all over the place, what with them trying their hands on symphonic, progressive, death, and a bunch of other metals.

Giving it a 4 for now but needs some more time to digest this monster! So far its a mix of all
rtheir albums when it comes to sound and its great, gets a little rocky on some parts but it feels
rvery mature as well. The instrumentals are fantastic as always just as you would expect from
rPersefone. Need some more time to go over this but for now its another fantastic release from
rPersefone. The 11 minute instrumental Consciousness pt 3 is also great. Last thing I will say I
radmire their ability to just slow down in the middle of the album, it gives off some Core vibes
rwhile sticking with that mature sound of Aathma.
Edit: Bumping this up to a 4.5 it is a fantastic album that mixes amazing instrumentals with
amazing atmosphere, the album is meant to be listened to from start to finish and it is a journey
to say the least. Another amazing release from Persefone.
