Frailty is where Jane Remover manages to balance their vision with *some* potent songwriting - there still are some gloubiboulga cuts, but there are the finest *songs* they have written.

album falls off a cliff after the emotional centerpiece of "kodak moment," but still really, really strong. the album's a bit overlong and could do without "can you tell?" and "eyes off the wheel, i'm a star." but those first 8 songs are almost all bulletproof. this is a really special album.
