It is all so tightly compacted into a package of sameness and pop-emo-punk clichés that still have a bite, but are greatly bogged down by their, again, sameness and the below-mediocre vocals.

An awesome album, But just doesn't live up to the song writing of Resignation Day or Pass The Poison. A much better sound though due to better recording and with songs like "Farewell to Iron Bastards" and "Empty Lot" that proves they've still got their shit together - Banner Pilot has still got me by the balls.

Good album, don't get me wrong. There are some gems here, but the album gets very samey very quickly. "Greenwood" is not only a great song, but is about a house I used to help run in Greenwood, SC, so there's a bit of a personal tie there. "Skeleton Key" is easily the strongest song though... That all being said, I find this an improvement over their last effort. If they build on the more lasting melodies here, and work on having a more diverse tracklisting, the next album could be even better.
