Emo and post-rock combined pretty damn well. The drumming here is unmatched, and the guitar is reserved. Music to contemplate things to.

Pretty, but ultimately pointless - an album of quasi-alternative emo post-rock tracks containing no program or much structure, and listening to it leaves the impression that something is missing. Both the guitar work and the exciting drumming call for apocalyptic skramz sections a la orchid to bestow the album with dynamics and purpose that would be very much welcome but never come around, nor the music leaves much to appreciate at anything but superficial level - playing post-rock with nearly no structure or atmosphere is making the genre collapse from the inside.
