This is fuckin city evil. Its awesome and depressive, if you feel me! Some said it makes them think as an evil(er) version of teethed glory and injury, which makes sense in the way the industrial bm pummeling is displayed. Its a tough af listen but its a grabber since the very first second you put on. Omfg kinda listen.

Although I can really appreciate what the Quebec band is attempting to do here, none of it really clicks all that well. The avant-metal bits all sound like very generic black metal, the power electronics all sound like general noise music, and the times they come together is when this album really shines. A decent listen and a good set of ideas that I hope they parse through in the future but for now this is more or less a bit of a mess when it comes to metal and noise music.

Mad French black metal is good shit. Adding some power electronics layers on top of their blend of black metal and mathcore, Plebeian Grandstand strive for the dense and the complex, drum patterns dictating an off-kilter rhythm on top of which a howler pulverizes his throat. Manic shit, yeah, just wish I liked this a tad more.

Best noisy/sludgy/blackened-style piece since Rorcal's Muladona two years ago. The addition of glitchy noise in just the right amount adds that je ne sais quoi that evolves on their previous work.

What the hell is this dude Talking about? Ancom deathspell?? Wtf? They've never sounded remotely like DSO. It's barely black metal at all. What it is though is a massive step up from FHTL and back to the more abrasive, harsher, chaotic 'Lowgazers' with more varied vox and stellar electronic passages. Sh#t goes, basically.
