it's interesting seeing OG make a denser, less flashy record and for the most part they pull it off by making a record that's greater than the sum of its parts. it's true that it doesn't have the highs of 'the burning cold' but it also has no low points - and though it's arguably very laid back for an OG record, it's definitely their most consistent outing since 'beyond'. a confident album of honed craft.
