| 4.0 excellent | charlopiano | September 10th 21 | I love Golden Hour, and Kacey could have done the exact same record another time and I would've loved it. She's way too good for that, went further in every way. Cool and interesting storytelling, nice album structure, some absolutely bafflingly good production choices, everywhere on here, I couldn't have asked for more. Honestly.

| 3.5 great | Purpose | September 10th 21 | This is excellent. production choices are pristine. lots of non-traditional song-rstructures. same honest kacey songwriting. a few choruses burn themselves into your brain r(breadwinner, what doesn't kill me). album oscillates between mexicana-inspired rromantic tragedy and synthwave at times. highlights: good wife, justified, breadwinner, rhookup scene, WDKM. pretty damn good.

| 4.0 excellent | ajcollins15 | September 16th 21 | Not exactly sure where all the hate is coming from on this record. I find the production to be perfectly executed with a rich atmosphere and interesting edits here and there. The lyrics might be silly and goofy but for me, I normally don?t fully focus on the lyrics unless if it is a project that I need to really focus on the lyrics. This new album by Kacey is explorative and experimental for her and I tip my hat to her for doing that. Love most of the album even if the back half is worse than the first half.

| 1.5 very poor | bigguytoo9 | September 14th 21 | This isnt even country REMOTELY, sonically or lyrically. Kacey basically paints her ex-husband as the ONLY reason their relationship faltered. No introspective view point from her at all. Plus the production choices are HEAD SCRATCHING, why so much Auto-Tune? All in all, this albums physical media is nothing more than best used as a Beer Coaster.

| 4.0 excellent | Lopan | September 14th 21 | The album has a great balance of modern pop arrangements and classic country sensibilities. The lyrics can be hit or miss but if you think from her point of view they are really good at giving us a snapshot about their relationship. rI feel like this is a great crossover album, the same way 1989 was for Taylor Swift.
