closest to pop metal can get. Not too bad, but can get quite boring after a few listens...

Its a lot to ask haha, but if they added heavy guitar riffs (not just heavy synth), got rid of auto tune (I'm pretty
sure they can sing live), and had their clean vocalist sing slightly more masculine (their screamer can do good
cleans too), they'd be fukn' sick. Screamer is a beast and the synths and vocals are extremely catchy.

Boasting extremely over-processed clean vocals, repetitive riffing, occasionally laughable
lyrics, and an uplifting pop sound, Dead by April have created a fun "pop-core" album that
shouldn't be given any extra recognition, even though there moments that make me believe
this band has some hidden potential, most notably the piano throughout the album, the harsh
vocals, the uncommon positive themes in several tracks, and the songs "Losing You" and "I
Made It".

Way to poppy to even claim that they're metal. Try to avoid this album if your metal head. rBest Songs: Losing You, Stronger, Angel of Clarity, and Lost (but that's a demo). Also if you do check out the album. Check out the demos that they didn't put on the album, ten times better than the track list of the album.

This is not melodic death metal, and I doubt it can ever cross that line, but it's a good metalcore album, and innovative in that metalcore has never been combined with pop metal before without dance beats, blaring synths, and the vapidly addictive, gimmicky musical pestilence known as "autotune".
