After enduring THE QUEST twice today, I?d have concede that it?s probably my least favorite Yes album to date. There have been times when Jon Anderson?s elven spirituals have tried my last nerves, but even those weren?t quite as intolerable as the limp songs that were compiled for this album. Hugely disappointing.

Genuinely really great. Perhaps its due to suffering through a lot of the previous albums, but this is a big step up.

Thought I'd hate it, but it's surprised me. One of the best Yes albums since the 1970s. It's got an energy that's lacking from so many of their albums over the past four decades. It probably deserves more than a 3, but I can't get away from the fact that there's not a single member left from the Yes I saw supporting The Nice at Sunderland Empire nearly 52 years ago.
After another listen, I've uprated it to 3.5.
As for Mystery Tour, even I could write better lyrics

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Definitely a step up from Heaven & Earth. It is unapologetically "prog rock", very album-oriented. I look forward to how some of these songs will continue to grow on me.

peaceful utopian music - in other words, it's garbage jk jk... might send some to sleep (both a caveat & a compliment) - but, for the most part, well-envisioned, decently executed... I'd rather listen to Alkaloid's take on their style; but this is a good choice for an album to 'wind down' with, fer sHuR
