Jinjer is an example of a band I have tried so hard to get into, but each successive release just brings about a cloud of disappointment. The best thing I have to say about this album is that it's a tad more coherent than Macro, but the album really dwindles in terms of excitement after the first four songs.

The fifth album from the four-piece Ukrainian metal band might be a step in the right sonic direction, it still holds on to this blatant issue of being extremely one-dimensional and barely having enough energy to keep it interesting. Don?t get me wrong the playing and performances are fine, it just feels so boring after the first few tracks.

Need a few more listens, but on my first play through I was a bit disappointed.
Full of great moments, slick production and excellent musicianship, yet nothing that I feel excited to go back to.
The scarcity of any real hooks along with its lack of variety keeps this from being the classic I know they still have
in them.
