I don't even have anything snappy to say about this besides that it's decent and sounds like Machine Head. There are basic chugga chugga wugga chug breakdowns now and poor clean vocals now, for some reason--I guess I never listened to the Blackening or Unto The Locust, which has breakdowns and clean vocals, but I digress. And changing producers seems to have had some positive effect on the music, as at least there are no tracks like Triple Beam. I dunno man, this is kinda fun.

There are some strong moments on this and some weak ones. It feels like Machine Head are going through the motions and are a bit lost on what direction to go in. On this showing it can honestly go either way. But I'll give it a weak 3 because when it does work, it works well.

I don't even have anything snappy to say about this besides that it's bad in basically every way and sounds like a band overcooked and well past their prime. There are basic chugga chugga wugga chug breakdowns now and poor clean vocals now, for some reason--as if trying to channel a younger energy by emulating 00's metalcore, which itself is by now approaching "metal boomer" territory. And changing producers seems to have had little positive effect on the music, as the mixing still sounds off in weird ways. I dunno man, this isn't fun.
