| 4.0 excellent | jcurry094 | May 30th 21 | For an instrumental record, the band is forthright in the intention of creating a political, activist record. Samples on the crushing "Wading In" call back to Vietnam War-era anti-war protests as
well as more recent movements. Musically, the post rock hallmarks of cascading reverb, tremolo picking, and wall-of-sound climaxes are present, but so are unique moments of metalcore-esque riffing
and ambient soundscapes.rPost rock as a genre fell out of vogue long ago, but HU,B maintain a soothing, energized approach throughout the seven tracks. While they aren't re-inventing the wheel, the
band is definitely passionate about their sound and execute it exceptionally well.
