Everyones comparing this to Cradle of Filth, and yeah its a little similar, but its also genious. The screached vocals and keyboards do bear resemblence to Cradle but the similarities end their. This is an album bursting with ferocious riffs and divine melodies. Chthonic use their native instrument, the Erhu, to devastating effect, its signature sorrowful sound can be experienced in songs such as Blooming Blades or Fourty Nine Theurgy Chains. A must listen for any metal fan.

This album is really amazing. number two on it, however i can't remember the name of that soung, is seriously mind sweeping. I played it for my boyfriend who is also a metal fan and he couldn't decide which song was his favorite, like it changes everytime a new song comes on because it's so good.
