This is an undervalued late-night cocktail LP, with some wonderful pensive moments and terse, relatively unadorned little narcotic vignettes. There was so much a negative reaction to this LP, but I don't see it within the Interpol canon, and even if taken within, it is a nice collection of barroom crooning.

I am not knocking Paul Banks for not understanding the meaning of a different project than the band he is already in, but in any case Julian Plenti is in so many ways the next Interpol album...and the next Interpol album is very uninteresting.
