Although claims of the 'next big thing' may be somewhat exaggerated, there's no doubt that Lisa Mitchell's debut full length comprises of everything that is good about her chirpy and lovable brand of pop folk. The subtlety of the pop aesthetic has just the right amount of weight to make it a worthy listen as a complete record, and the progression from her excellent Welcome to the Afternoon EP is fantastic.
