Cornell's first solo album comes after the dissolution of Soundgarden and showcases the vocal strengths of this magnificent singer. Musically, Euphoria Morning varies greatly from Soundgarden?s grunge style, despite the fact that some of the tracks included in here originated back to the band's active days. All lyrics are written by Chris himself and can be characterised as dark and melancholic, and this related to the hard period he was going through at the time. The album contains a mixture of alternative rockers ('Can't Change Me', 'Follow My Way', 'Mission', 'Disappearing One'), melancholic ballads ('Preaching the End of the World', 'Sweet Euphoria') and some bluesy tunes ('Wave Goodbye', 'Steel Rain'). From this album I keep the introspective ?Preaching the End of the World?, the rhythmical "Flutter Girl" and the versatile "Pillow of Your Bones".

So few vocalists possess such a wide range of vocals as chris and this album displays that the best. Listen to Preaching The End Of The World for an idea as to how this sounds.

Such a good album start to finish. Preaching The End Of The World shows off Chriss beautiful and ranged voice perfectly and is hellishly emotional but the whole album is fantastic. The first three songs are the best opining three songs on any album ever recorded in my opinion

Euphoria Morning was the album that introduced me to Chris Cornell and features everything that were staples of his later far infeior releases-great musicianship and some beautifully wide-ranged vocals that truly do top most of the rock market out there. Preaching The End of the World gets me everytime by how emotional it is. Flutter Girl and Cant Change me stand out as two of the best songs i have ever heard and in general this album is just spectacular and holds a place in my heart
