Somehow this hits me as the kind of record I'd see a band like Ulver doing, if they hadn't quit BM, at this point (don't fight me). Sure, I'm not talking about the DM parts, or this maybe more proggy nature, but this sense of mixing trve BM with the avant-garde feel. Its different from any other Krallice (being GBF the closest). They recorded it during confinement and achieves an incredibly mysterious atmosphere, featuring amazing drums recorded through a phone (!), but also impressive takes on techy guitars and listenable, often brilliant, bass. The massive highlight though goes for the way the synths follow the all piece giving another layer of atmosphere, darkness and mystery. Its disturbing, smooth and heavy and I'm completely obsessed with it. I sense they'll never record the drums through a phone ever again (unfortunately).

According to the band, Demonic Wealth album was ?written in isolation, recorded in isolation, listened to in isolation, [and] released in isolation. Drums recorded at the Mouth 3 on a phone. Vocals recorded in the car by the swamp. Bass recorded. Guitars, keyboards, other bass, reamping, mixing, mastering at Menegroth the thousand caves."

Lo-fi dungeon synthy black metal? Yes sure why not. Notwithstanding the recording production (im imagining a dude in his car shrieking to his phone), the way the synths take the guitars' place is interesting, as some tracks (eg "Still") are not using ANY guitars. While the idea is groundbreaking, I've had trouble fully engaging with these tracks, and some transitions felt clunky.
