they deliver again. their best record. 'inside your fur' is such a jam, holy shit. they genuinely left the best four tracks for last.

Not completely terrible, but holy hell they sacrificed what potential they had on prior rrecords to create something rthat?s not only painfully simplistic for the sake of trying to draw in new listeners, but rmost of the album is so dull that it rlacks any kind of replay value after the first two or three listens.

Great album, well-crafted songs and sound. Weakest songs are Freak and These Black Claws. Black Claws has grown on me after a few listens though - the rapping was unexpected (and initially unwanted) at first but, like I said, it grew on me. This album is definitely head heavy, with the singles easily being the strongest of the nine songs.

Besides the track Freak, which is ok, all other tracks are great, some people have claimed side b to be weaker but i think its just as strong if not stronger than side A.

I have been a fan of this pop metal trend being seen within Djent for some time now and the four-piece Denmark band has always been at the forefront of this style with their use of dream pop and synthpop ideas and styles. Their heavy sound within the sweet synth cords really adds such a unique and fun dynamic. On their third album, they continue down this path with mostly good results however the first half is significantly better than the second half. The first four tracks are some of the best songs they have written in years while the last four are a bit of a mixed bag. Still a decent little project that isn?t going to blow anyone away.

Hasn't yet clicked for me. Album really is top-heavy with the singles first, which all sound... bland? Except 24 lightyears, that one's great. Latter half of the album is better, though rather uninteresting.

Future Bird is a quick highlight. Not a fan of the rap feature and slower moments, but this is par with the rest of their catalog. 21 Light years is also very catchy, would love to see these guys live one day

Was surprised to see some of the unanimous least favs on here so far - These Black Claws was such a fucking sick groove, and Freak is one of the most beautiful tracks I've heard from this band. Dunno what that says about me... This is their best album though.

Half of it is super good and rivals Applause. The other half is boring; the auditory equivalent of drying paint. I wish they would have doubled down on the dream pop and held back off the more grimy, sludginess. For every strong moment (Straight Lines, Future Bird), there?s an equally terrible stumbling block (These Black Claws, Freak). I really want to love this a lot as the strong points are really strong, but man does this get held back at times.

Stone Leader Falling Down and Future Bird are incredible songs outside of the 4 singles. These Black Claws gets a bad rap (pun intended) here but for me it's a masterclass in efficient groove, subtle songwriting and mood building. Also SHAHMEN's verse works extremely well too. My only gripe is that it really didn't need to go on for 6 minutes.rOverall though, except maybe Freak which is kinda forgettable, this album is wonderful. First VOLA album to really click with me.
