Really solid release here, some totally crushing parts. Their best album bar none since Kill or Evisceration Plague. Rutan proves a spark that was needed.

Cannibal Corpse spent so long being death metal's resident whipping boys and yet here they are, 30-something years later, at the top of their game and one of the best modern -old school or new school- death metal acts going. Talk about the sound of perseverance.

Fuck it, this is probably my favorite CC album. Rutan was the perfect edition to this lineup and George?s vocals for a 51-year old are absolutely monstrous. Probably the most consistent death metal band out there

Some will dismiss this as a transitional album. I say it's a welcome return to form.
It's a front loaded album. So is the back half, and the mid section.
I particularly like this one song, which reminds me of any other song.

Definitely not my thing, but it didn't piss me off like the vast majority of death metal does. The lack of god-awful clicky drums and a solid production job help quite a bit.

hard to imagine this could be anything above a 3.8 as this band isn't cutting edge, and hasn't been in decades. Great death metal, but great isn't good enough anymore.

This is absolutely my favorite Cannibal Corpse album. My favorite album before this album was Red Before Black. But this album has replaced Red Before Black as my favorite Cannibal Corpse album.
