If this is their most diverse album I shudder to imagine the monotony of their previous work. The
riffs are fun and the drumming is decent, but the band just shoehorns the technicality into
predictable songwriting. Vox are bland, and cleans are downright sterile. Lyrics are thesaurus-
laden ramblings that are either painfully on the noise or pointlessly vague.
There's no dynamic range and every song sounds exactly the same.

Their most diverse album yet. Where was this J.T. on their last couple?! Maybe they just needed to be unchained from Sumerian, album is great!

I can kind of see the appeal of this record, it?s progressive metalcore with huge djent riffs and explosive screams. However, it?s hard not to feel like this is just another addition to the very bland and generic scene of metalcore we are continuing to see. The production is so beyond clean that half the time the drums don?t even sound real, and the guitar is comedically edited to the point of being annoying. Most of this album is just a massive headache to listen to.

Periphery and Meshuggah worship definitely going on. This genre has really lost my interest since
2013. Same formula of cramming polyrhythms and 0-0-000-0-0 open string abuse. Along with all the
usual tropes of the genre, I can't help but wonder if this will go the way of Nu-metal. Anyway, I
don't know why I bothered with this album. I'll see myself out.

A flawless record with thought provoking lyrical content, hyper-technical guitarwork which
flutters in and out between crushing djenty moments and beautiful tapping/ serene melodic
moments. So cohesive it feels like you're peering into another world, the production is
pristine and every low note bursts through the mix with a cinematic grandiosity. Jesse adds a
newfound grit to his diverse tenor range, and JT just goes absolutely nuts cementing himself
as the definitive ERRA harsh vocalist and showcasing immense versatility.

From the ignition of "Snowblood", ERRA's self-titled album features such tight musicianship and production that it almost feels like it's redefining the metalcore genre. It's an album that should serve as a template for other bands to build upon. Impressive leads, catchy hooks, surprises, and more. This is a weird comparison, but in 2010 when the band THE WORD ALIVE released "Deceiver", it also carried similar features to ERRA's self-titled album this year. Albums like these shouldn't go unnoticed, despite the self-titled album from ERRA's last few songs not being as strong as the beginning of the album.
