Perhaps the best album to be associated with any member of the Wolf Parade family. Spencer Krug is a brilliantly elliptical lyricist, highly-talented musician and constantly surprising arranger. He brings the best of his talents to Dragonslayer, which sound to these ears like it was recorded entirely live (no overdubs, little post-production), and proves how dynamic and fantastical a musician he truly is. This is an indie rock record like few others - one can spend hours and hours discovering every little musical and lyrical detail - and it's a delight every single time.

8 Songs long, but all of them fantastic. Been a Sunset fan since the beginning, but this is the first album where I can honestly say I like every song.
Idiot heart, Apollo and the Buffalo and Anna Anna Anna Oh!, a much improved version of Paper Lace (from the original, on Swan Lake's Enemy Mine) and You Go On Ahead, are the real standouts, but they're all good.
