Well worth the 7 year wait since Belong Betray, the dual vocals really add a new dynamic which helps this album stand out from everything they've done before, and the songwriting is top-notch.

Incredible album. Band was always on the edge of my radar, but the dual vocals really add another
dimension to the band's music and the group's caught my eye. "Ardour", "Burdened", and "Tateishi"
are simply MASSIVE. Loss can be found at the intersection of shimmering post-rock, catchy
metalcore, and powerful post-metal. Might have to 5 this after repeated listens. Everyone check
this out!

Was on the fence about 5'ing this, but after multiple listens, fuck it. Haven't had such a visceral emotional reaction to an album in a long time. They've pulled off the album they've been moving towards their whole career. Melancholic masterpiece.

This band once released an album called 'Hope.' It is telling that the same band is now releasing 'Loss.' There was hope on those first albums; there is pretty much just loss on this. Very little adrenaline, very little strength. Tons of weakness, if that's what you're into. Oh man are Gibbs' cleans a new level of bad this time around, like if you like them, you need to reconsider your direction of self lol. Suffering worship that I have no taste for pitying... I wash my hands of this shit, and so should you. There was a dream that was rome proximo, this is not it. This is not it.

When it screms and the band focuses on post-metalesque post-hxc, it do be really good. However, despite my irrational love for whiny ass pop punk, I just cannot appreciate Gibbs' clean vocals. Fortunately they do not take on too much importance, but I can't help but focus on them every time they come up.Thankfully the rest is awesome but still.

Man I hope I can get into Eds vocals, they just seem a bit cheesy to me. I love Pauls vocals so much more. The songwriting is amazing
