| 0.0 | Gary STAFF | December 11th 20 | "Taylor goes... one of the greatest songwriters of our generation" Oh yeah, she just needed 5
other producers to write another album for her, lmao. (Why are you re-writing your soundoffs,
Lucman? Are they too awkward, are they?)

sleepwalking melodies and numbing, placid hooks. Also her vocal phrasing just gets worse

| 5.0 classic | nick35 | December 12th 20 | After accompanying us through the lockdown, Taylor Swift decided to take us to a new world of history and magic. And although some of his stories are partly imaginary, the emotions are still present throughout the 15 poetics songs. Swift makes us discover an experimental universe for her but of which she seems to have all the keys.rGoing through a crime story with the classic group of sisters HAIM; then by the story of Marjorie whom we would all like to see in film, and who turns out to be his grandmother; and ending with the new duet with Bon Iver which already seems a classic in our heads, Taylor makes us travel once again during these difficult times for humanity!

| 4.5 superb | mvdu | December 12th 20 | It may not have as many stand out songs as Folklore, but it is almost as enjoyable. Have to let it sink in It is creative without losing the strength of the material, with exquisite melodies. It also is her best lyrically - even the overdone fantasy murder song is done well. She continues to grow very well!

| 5.0 classic | RadioNew03 | December 11th 20 | Taylor.. you know you are truly amazing!! The new indie sound and instrumentation fits her so well, just like forklore. These songs are beautiful, have meaning and her songwriting is a defining moment.. listening to this takes you a way from 2020 for an hour. So drift away for an hour.

| 4.0 excellent | PrincyAli | July 18th 21 | Much less Lana influence, still a very good album. 3.9/5 Favs: champagne problems, gold rush, no body no crime, happiness, dorothea, coney island, ivy, cowboy like me, long story short, majorie, closure, evermore

| 3.5 great | charlopiano | December 28th 20 | It's basically the same thing as Folklore, but I thought the hooks were better and the features made for some more interesting tracks than Swift's previous entry.

| 3.5 great | Malcontent | December 27th 20 | Folklore and Evermore are two sides of the same gem: Folklore is more polished and even, Evermore has more interesting features and some very rough edges. The National feature is a vast disappointment, 'tis the damn season, dorothea, and long story short are just bad. HAIM and Bon Iver (again!) are the highlights. The last half of the closing track makes me wish for Taylor Swift via a Bon Iver record, not Taylor Swift via a National record.

| 3.5 great | ajcollins15 | December 17th 20 | Miss Taylor Swift comes through with a somewhat sister album in complement to her previous 2020 release ?folklore?. With folklore, Taylor took monumental steps forward in her independence. Specifically, with her songwriting ability, production, and instrumental landscape. Although these two albums were written in tandem with each other evermore sees a much more indietronica/folktronica direction rather than the very folk-pop and contemporary folk sound of folklore. Personally, I find this album to be more pleasant the more I listen to it, but many of the huge steps forward on folklore are gone on this album. However, I still find a majority of the tracks on here to be extremely well written and have a lot of great depth to them (other than ?tis the damn season?, ?coney island?, and ?champagne problem?) especially the track with HAIM and Bon Iver which are some of the most detailed songs I think she has ever written.

| 3.5 great | davezillaMP3 | December 16th 20 | I agree with the sentiment that it is the less memorable sequel of folklore, which is why to me this feels like the b-sides from those recording sessions. Don't get e wrong this is still good, like very good it is just compared to folklore it is clearly inferior. It's the movie sequel that is a good movie but nowhere near as good as the original.

| 3.0 good | Erwann S. EMERITUS | December 14th 20 | Although less dull than Folklore, this still suffers from the same problems. These contain I Am Easy to Find yawn-inducing compositions, Antonoff's shtick growing old, and an overall lack of diversity. Still, the songs' subdued nature does manage to *kinda* shine after several listens. Her best 2020 record.

| 4.0 excellent | JWT155 | December 11th 20 | People show their true colors in the face of adversity, and in the wake of COVID-19, while the entire music industry has been set back (pushed back releases, no live shows, etc.), Taylor Swift again digs into her roots of being an excellent songwriter and crafts another dazzling record that frankly seperates her entirely from her pop contemperaries in terms of raw talent and ambition.

| 4.0 excellent | christopher164 | December 11th 20 | This project is, once again, filled with beautiful songs and mind-blowing melodies. I love how they pushed the envelope further with some more country-inspired songs and other genre implementations (who was expecting those industrial glitches in "closure?"). This album makes me appreciate "folklore" even more and I can't wait to listen to both of these projects on repeat for the next few decades. (The biggest disappointment is "willow," as it literally sounds like a single.)
