Instant classic. Very unique take on the production that sets it apart from anything else just about.

The cool thing about this, and what makes this unique tbf, are the absense of the usual chugs, the way they use dissonance to reach some really catchy and melodic hooks, and offcourse the atmospheric approach, I mean, the heaviest thing here are prob the vocals. Instrumentally it differs from the usual bdm we are used too, and disso bdm in particular. Its quite a jam. It's more catchy than the previous, I think they cemented and assumed their sound here. I love the rock writing nature/ approach of it.

A mildly psychedelic blackened death metal odyssey. Groovy at times and just the right amount of crunchy production to give it that black metal flavor without overdoing it.

A smoothed-out development on their debut. I prefer their earlier work but only marginally - a more critical comparison would be between this and the new Veilburner album, which has a better sense of atmosphere and more entertaining screwiness. Still, a great release from a great band, and I can see many preferring this more atmospheric approach.
