The best album of 2009, and one of the best of the decade. So powerful, creative and original, Riverside reach their masterpiece, that will certainly change progressive metal as we know it. A must listen for any prog metal fan. Another underrated opus.

If you look back at previous Riverside albums, each of them contains two sounds: laid back, quiet parts and the furious rock stuff. In fact, there were some songs that were devoted to just one of these sounds. On Anno Domini High Definition, it seems as though blood is boiling; most of the album is fast and furious with even some very powerful screaming coming from the vocalist. There are still numerous quiet parts in this collection of songs, but the entire album gives off a very pissed off feeling, and suits Riverside very well.

These guys are very good musicians. Check this out if you are a fan of bands like Porcupine Tree.
