Band History/Summary:
Chasing Victory is christian screamo band from Georgia, whose style mixes screaming and smooth non-screaming lyrics to give an energetic and exotic feel to their songs. This band deputed their first album "A Not So Tragic Coverup EP" in 2004 and then shortly after, signed a record deal with mono vs. stereo records. In 2005, they realeased "I Call This Abandonment" and in 2007 "Fiends". Recently after Realeasing fiends, the band broke up the same year.
Album Summary:
The best (by far) album realeased by Chasing Victory. In my opinion, their other album "fiends" is one of the most miserable I have ever heard. The style changes greatly and the songs all sucked, except "Kings". DO NOT, I reapeat, DO NOT judge the band by "fiends". The songs in "I Call This Abondonment" balanced screaming and regular singing very well, with more singing then screaming. Also, the guitar playing and drums went along well with the lyrics, despite the lack of a good guitar solo.
