Camron Giles, top of the food chain of wit-filled, oddball, blizzardous coke rappers, is fairly bi-polar. Say what? Killa Cam has different sides to himself, he acts like he's a numbskull, but in truth he knows word for word what he's talking about (Don't believe me? ://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oLGjhpY9jM) , and, like a lot of rappers in his area, switches moods quite often in a single record. On Crime Pays, one of his better albums, and his most recent, he mostly discusses his life of luxury and his dealings in the snow business ("Cookin Up" and "I Get It In Ohio"), but he also switches to topics like the ladies ("Bottom Of The Pussy" and "Spend The Night"), and Cam even puts his persona in a new persons eyes, rapping in the view of a middle class white person, trapped in their plain cubicle lifestyle. Cam's soundtrack sounds dated, like they were outtakes from Cam's earlier albums, but they sound perfected in their datedness as Camron isn't exactly the most modernly relevant MC. Although Crime Pays sounds like it could have been recorded in 2004, it's a great record, and although it has filler, Cam is an awesome lyricist, and manages to fit these lyrics with fitting beats, and thus Crime Pays is fairly solid.
