one of the more interesting experimental releases in whatever genre they consider themselves in now. sad that they broke up because this album would've really pushed them over the top

Birth.eater's a great album. I loved the theme of it, it sounds so fascinating.

Great album. Oceana lost a vocalist, but gained a new one that proves to be much better than the old one. His harsh vocals are good and his cleans are good as well. This album is a lot heavier and darker than its predecessor, which is a welcome change. The highlight of the album though is the song "Devil Walk, God Walk (Heaven Walk, Hell Walk). A nearly 9 minute epic, which closes beautifully with some really nice singing. Overall this album is great and I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome of it. Considering I wasn't impressed at the first listens of the new tracks months earlier.

they did a great job with the feelings of rejection due to the lead singer supposing to be aborted by his mother (how the hell does someone find that out?) i loved the tide and this cd has grown on me mondo.

What a difference one band member can make. Oceana completely recreates their sound and creates an extremely dark atmosphere. The song writing is absolutely superb and it is the absolute best that Metalcore has to offer. The entire album(I am speculating here, Brennan Tulabee hasn't revealed what the album is about.) is about Brennan's experiences of growing up knowing that he was suppose to be aborted when he was a fetus. Many of the themes in the album include loneliness, anger, death, sadness, birth, and family. In each song, Oceana pulls you in and gives you a taste of the darkness he is feeling inside. This is an album that must be listened from start to finish. I think this is an album that everybody needs to listen to before they die.

Oceana manage to not sound scene with this release. The new singer carries great emotion in his voice and there is a lot of amazing moments. They lost a bit of their technicality to let the new vocals shine.
