Strap yourself in for 26 minutes filled with venom, desolation, and despair. Portrayal of Guilt meld black metal, grindcore, and elements of screamo into an incredible album that just might top their debut.

Their melodic sections certainly give this cool post hardcore feel to it, but when they scream is more towards the nihilistic sludgecore area. They really nailed it here with where I wanted for them to go to. Like a more "accessible" (lol) Full of Hell. This shit is awesome for the 26 insane minutes.

Daymare was one of best tracks all-time minus the semi anti-climactic and sophomoric 'I'm
heavy' ending. Hope this band is sleeping on a few more diamonds.Mostly it's just pretty
rough right now.You might like that, but then you probably like a lotta shite. Yes, it
does what you want it to, but here's to hoping they do something better next time.

Portrayal of Guilt represent that new wave of heavy music, the one that neither hesitates to make all possible aesthetics its own, nor to hold the speeches least related to the current "bien-pensance". In a way, this is what we can only hope for the future of metal and hardcore: to further flourish by fusing all their parent influences, and by giving the stage to the most extreme human thoughts.
